Red Dead Redemption 2 Confirmed for 2017
Rockstar Games has finally confirmed Red Dead Redemption 2 is in the works. What’s more? The game is due to arrive later in 2017. You can check out the announcement tweet and one of the teaser tweets below.
So the game will have a fall 2017 release. Additionally, the first trailer for the game will launch on Thursday, October 20 at 11:00 AM EST. Fans have been waiting for a sequel to the game for quite some time, and it looks like their wish will finally be granted.
Previously, Rockstar Games had been posting some teaser images hinting at the sequel on its social media accounts, and now it’s finally confirmed that the franchise is making a return. At the very least, Rockstar and Take-Two didn’t rush this sequel before it was ready.
It should be interesting to see what exactly Rockstar has planned for the sequel, what the new story will be, and what type of new open-world mechanics it will have. Red Dead Redemption was an excellent take on the Grand Theft Auto-style, open-world action-adventure game, but with a western setting. More details on the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 will be revealed later on. The platforms for the sequel haven’t been confirmed, but one expects it will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
