The throwback adventure game Raven Quest, featuring 80s-era pixelated graphics, was revealed today. It’s targeting a spring 2020 release on the PC. If you’re familiar with Zelda, you get the idea behind this….wander around, swing your sword and make enemies evaporate.
Why is it called Raven Quest? Because everybody on the island is turning into a crow! Your job is to get to the bottom of this before you join them and start growing feathers.
The developer of Raven Quest, who goes by the handle “Eufrasi0,” says he’s just 18 years of age and has been coding since he was 14. “I have a lot of respect for the generation of NES games and I always wanted to bring the sensation of exploring strange pixelated worlds to modern days,” he says. I’m pleased with anyone who doesn’t make me feel old.
“Now I’m 18 years old and I think it’s the perfect time to launch a great game. I hope that the 4 years that I have been making games help me.”
Raven Quest will be released on Steam sometime in the second quarter of 2020. Watch for it soon!
