Quantum Break

Quantum Break Gets New Main Cast, Trailer and Release Date

It seems Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break has gone through some major changes in recent months since the game’s release was delayed yet again earlier this year. At this year’s Gamescom 2015 Xbox Media Briefing, Xbox and Remedy finally shed some light on the highly-anticipated, long-delayed Xbox One exclusive title, including a completely new main cast for the story. The main characters for the story have been completely recast, including lead Jack Joyce, who will now be played by Shawn Ashmore. The game looks noticeably different now. You can check out the new trailer that was revealed for the game this week in the player below. The new release date for the series has been set for April 2016, about two years from the game’s original release period of 2014.

It appears that Microsoft and Remedy are moving forward with not only the game, but the previously announced TV show as well. The game will follow the actions of the heroes, and the in-game, live-action TV series. Per Xbox, the in-game choices will affect the outcome of events in the series, implying that there could be some interactive changes with viewing the series.

Below is the new main cast for the game revealed by Xbox and Remedy:

Shawn Ashmore (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as Jack Joyce
Dominic Monaghan (Lost) as William Joyce
Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) as Paul Serene
Lance Reddick (Fringe) as Martin Hatch
Marshall Allman (True Blood) as Charlie Wincott
Patrick Heusinger (Black Swan) as Liam Burke
Mimi Michaels (The Ugly Truth) as Fiona Miller
Amelia Rose Blaire (True Blood) as Amy Ferraro
Brooke Nevin as Emily Burke
Courtney Hope as Beth Wilder
Jacqueline Pinol as Sofia Amaral
Jeannie Bolet as Kate Ogawa
Sean Durrie as Nick Marsters

Quantum Break will hit the shelves on Aprl 5, 2016. The game will be exclusively available for Xbox One.
