PS4's With Silent Hills Playable Teaser Now On Ebay
The fallout from Hideo Kojima leaving Konami is still being felt all around. Fans are wondering what the future of the Metal Gear franchise will be like without his direction, as well as what will happen to other games he has created.
But truly the biggest loss from his departure is the cancellation of Silent Hills, which was meant to not only revitalize the series, but be something truly special. The project had Norman Reedus and Guillermo Del Toro on board as well. To initially spark interest in the potential title, Sony released a playable teaser that you could download onto your PS4. The teaser will be taken out of the PlayStation Store today, but that doesn’t mean it is completely unattainable.
Fans are taking the initiative to keep this game “alive” by selling off their PS4’s on Ebay with the Silent Hills playable teaser still installed. Just a warning though, it’s availalable for one thousand Euros. Yep. You can see the listings for the consoles here.
Insane? Asking too much? Futile? Probably all of the above, but you have to admire their passion, if not their creativity and use of the situation to potentially make a lot of money.
This is but the latest in a long line of fans using shortages, cancellations, and other gaming events to their advantage. The sky is the limit I suppose if you can think up how to make things work.
