PS4 Sells Out at GameStop

GameStop is no longer accepting pre-orders for the PlayStation 4 in the US as it has “sold out” of its allocation of launch units.

The GameStop website says the PS4 is currently sold out and users are not able to place an order for the console, however if you are desperate to buy a PS4 from GameStop you can register your interest and be notified if pre-orders once again become available.

GameStop provided a statement to GameInfomer which read “Due to high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4.” This and the messaging on the website seems to suggest that pre-orders may open again at some point in the future, but this is yet to be confirmed.

Although bad news for those of you who have yet to pre-order a console this is great news for Sony, as PS4 pre-orders appear to not only be selling at an incredible rate but also appear to be out selling Xbox One pre-orders, which are still available on the GameStop website.

The PS4 is still available to pre-order at many other locations and websites.
