Pikmin 4 Confirmed?
For Nintendo, they sometimes have a way of not telling fans what’s coming unless it’s through a press conference or one of their very popular Nintendo Direct’s. They do it this way so that they can reveal lots of information, or explain when more information can be expected. Nintendo prefers a more personal touch.
Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto however doesn’t mind sharing information when he can. And in an exclusive interview with Eurogamer (which contents just got released today), he confirmed that one of his personal favorite franchises, Pikmin, was not only getting another title, but it was already almost done!
“It’s actually very close to completion,” Miyamoto said. “Pikmin teams are always working on the next one.”
Now before you say that this might just be Miyamoto saying something that could be happening, Nintendo said in a separate statement:
“We can confirm that Pikmin 4 is in development but that is all we can confirm at present.”
What should be noted here is two things. First, if Pikmin 4 is “close to completion” why was it not revealed at Nintendo’s E3 Press Conference? Though it wouldn’t have “saved” it in the eyes of many fans, it would’ve boosted it for sure. Also, if its close to done, does this mean it’ll be on Wii U? Like it’s predecessor? Or could Nintendo be making it as a launch title for the NX?
Questions abound, let’s hope we get some more Pikmin 4 news soon!
