Phil Spencer Says Halo TV Series Is Still Alive
Remember that Halo TV series Steven Spielberg was working on? Showtime was producing it too. Well, it unfortunately never materialized. However, Xbox’s Phil Spencer commented on the status of the show in response to a fan question on Twitter. When a fan asked if the show was dead or not, Spencer claimed that the Spielberg Halo TV series is “Alive.”
It’s a pretty vague answer because there appears to be no start date or release date in sight for the series. There’s been very little noticeable movement for the show as of late. The show was first announced in 2013, but there’s been next to no news as of late. Gamespot reports that last August, Showtime’s David Nevins said the show is still in “very active development.”
Well, this is something at least. However, it seems the ideal time to launch the show would’ve been to coincide with Halo 5: Guardians. That time has come and gone. And as mentioned, there doesn’t appear to be happening anytime soon. As of now, it just seems like one of those projects destined for development hell. That being said, hopefully Spielberg and co. get around to it eventually.

Alive.
