One of the big draws of Gotham Season 03 is that there is a clone of Bruce Wayne, and last episode saw the two Bruce’s meet for the first time. But by the end of the episode, it was clear just how different this clone was. At the Gotham panel, the actor playing both Bruce’s, David Mazouz, talked about how the Bruce’s actually envy the other in some way:
“Yes, there is an envious feeling for both,” Mazouz shared with the crowd. “The clone we still dont know much about him; he was born in a lab and he sees a kid looking exactly like him with all that stuff. All he knows is lab coats and experiments and now he sees Alfred, Selina, and a big house and he wants that. So I think this ‘clone’ is going to teach Bruce to use the things around him and I think Bruce is going to teach the clone… well, you’ll see.”
Also though, the clone met Selina Kyle by accident, and almost instantly had feelings for her. Meanwhile, the “true” Bruce has had feelings for a while for Selina. The clone changed his look, and stole a car to go be with Selina, and this will cause problems next episode.
“There will be a jealous conflict in the next episode,” he shared. “For two years Bruce has wanted to do more with Selina but hasnt had the balls to make a move and make it happen. The clone isn’t as incumbered by that. So we see he took the car and he may be going to make that move.”
The next episode of Gotham premieres Monday at 8/7c on Fox.
