Northbound Releases Teaser For Season 3
It’s been a long time since we’ve heard from the production crew at Northbound, but it’s been an eventful few months. To refresh your memory, Northbound is a post-apocalyptic series produced by Seeka TV, a Minneapolis-based digital platform. It centers around a lone father, Alex, as he fights to protect his comatose daughter Crystal from apocalyptic horrors. The series was created by Michigan natives/brothers Seth & Nathan Anderson, and is produced by Jason Hagen.
Plans were to film Season 3 of the series sometime in 2019, but delays forced the date into 2020….and then nature did the rest. Shutdowns due to COVID-19 have delayed production all the way into 2021, but Seeka hopes to wrap it all up in the spring.
The ultimate intent behind the series is a movie….Northbound was greenlit with the intention of telling the prequel story to Northstar, which will be filmed in the same area once Northbound gets done telling its story. We are told that the third season will be the final one, so we should expect work on the Northstar movie to begin after that.
Here is where we would normally post the new teaser, but Seeka is hosting it privately on their own website, so you can only view it through this link. You can also watch both existing seasons of Northbound on Seeka through Roku or Apple TV. The second season premiered way back in October of 2017.
