Microsoft Studios and Iron Galaxy have dropped the latest trailer for Killer Instinct for Season 2 of the game. The latest video showcases Aganos, the war golem, and is available in the player below.
Aganos was briefly teased in the last trailer, which featured Omen. It appears Aganos has some connection to another Killer Instinct character, the sorcerer Kan-Ra. It appears Aganos has pursued Kan-Ra for centuries after being ordered to vanquish the sorcerer by his old king. Aganos is a bulky, behemoth of a character. He is a golem made up of stone rock, held together by tree-like branches as his joints and sinew. Most of his attacks look like short-range bashing attacks, but he does appear to have a couple type of long-range attacks. His backstory being tied with Kan-Ra’s, giving the two a rivalry is very interesting.
Of course, the end of the trailer offers another sneak peek at a future Killer Instinct fighter, a character referred to as Ghost. She resembles the type of ghost or monster usually depicted in Japanese horror films such as The Grudge.
Aganos will be available for the Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition starting Friday, February 27. Owners of the Combo Breaker Edition have to wait until next month to play as Aganos on March 5.
