Gravitas Ventures and Kamikaze Dogfight have announced their horror film Necropath has now arrived on digital platforms — ready to watch on demand. According to them, the movie is the answer to the question of “what happens to the movie monsters who wander freely during extreme pandemics.”
It would be stating the obvious to point out what this movie was inspired by, but plenty of horror movies from the past had intentional parallels to real-world situations…why should now be any different? This situation is more Resident Evil than COVID, though, the virus that cripples society was created by a pharmaceutical drug company, and it’s having otherworldly effects on people.
In the midst of this chaos, a crazy murderer is running around without punishment, and a hapless family winds up in his path. Who will survive in this Grindhouse-flavored tale of terror?
Necropath stars Moe Isaac, Nathan Faudree, Cassandra Hayes, Lillian Colvin, Natalie Colvin and Shain Hence. It was written and directed by Joshua Reale, and it’s available now on most VOD platforms.
Encompassing many elements relating to issues happening in today’s world, the Grindhouse-style piece tells of a mysterious virus, plague, and pharmaceutical drug conspiracy that erupts over a city causing a pandemic. In the midst of the chaos, a mentally deranged maniac seeks to fulfill continuous addiction and vengeful murder, despite the imminent demise of society happening around him. The story leads to a family being destroyed leaving an abandoned little girl to save her baby sister.
