Mythroll Armory’s Boundless Dice Campaign Launches January 10
Mythroll Armory is best known for their handcrafted tabletop dice. Past products from the studio have included the Morningstar Dice, the Dragonheart Dice (scaly-looking dice meant to evoke dragons) and the Dice Spinners meant to introduce an alternate method of rolling for damage. Their next creation, a collaboration with the company Genesis Dice, was set to launch its crowdfunding campaign December 1. That didn’t happen.
What DID happen was Mythroll questioning the cost of the entire project and going back to the drawing board to see if they could reduce expenses. The good news is that the savings will be passed on to you. One set has been reduced 15% to 64 dollars, a dice tower case has been added for free (typical MSRP $21), and they’ll also throw in a free D20 (valued at $16) if stretch goals are met. Here’s Mythroll’s list of everything that’s been refined:
- Lower prices: We’ve lowered the price on the dice, cases, combos, and add-ons. How? By reducing the number of variations that we launch with which keep our initial order smaller. We’ve also slightly raised the goal.
- Closer Stretch Goals: We will still unlock new finishes for the cases and the dice, and we’ll still have a Stretch Goal for free cases for all, and a free bonus D20 for early backers. We’ve made the Stretch Goals closer together and added more of them.
- Upgraded Packaging: This will be the first set of dice we’ve launched sent in a metal dice case with a window and white foam inserts to help show off your beautiful dice. Previously, we’ve shipped the dice in poly bags which has helped to keep the cost low, but didn’t make for the experience these dice deserve. We want you to say “wow” when you open these.
- Flat Rate Shipping: Free shipping will be a Stretch Goal with a flat rate shipping as the standard. We’re confident we’ll reach free shipping however, and have set the goal low, because it’s something we really want to offer! We’ll just need to hit a certain goal to make sure we can.
The Boundless Dice will finally be available when their Kickstarter launches (for real this time) January 10.
