Pathea Games’ My Time At Portia is one of the most popular life-sim RPGs to be released in the last few years. Fans will be pleased to learn a sequel is underway….My Time At Sandrock is currently in development and the Kickstarter campaign is officially live.
Gameplay in Sandrock will be much like it was in Portia…you’re building a community up from nothing, and you must gather resources, build and repair structures, and make friends. This time, though, the new setting gives the experience a Wild West flair. And there are other new features planned, including…
- New Combat – a revamped combat system that allows the player to quickly shift between melee combat and 3rd person shooting mechanics.
- Great Music – an original soundtrack with dynamic in-game music that reflects where the player is and what they’re doing
- More Elaborate Story and Deeper Characters- a vastly enriched storyline, hundreds of side-quests boasting over 30 completely new characters, each getting more attention than before with their own story to discover, as well as the return of a few familiar faces for fans of the series.
- Build with Friends! Co-op multiplayer – Perhaps the most exciting addition to the game is a new multiplayer function that will finally allow players to visit a unique multiplayer map where they can build a workshop together and experience an additional storyline that unfolds there…
Though My Time At Sandrock is not estimated to be completed until 2022, it’ll be entering Early Access in 2021. You can secure a Steam copy for a $20 pledge, or a console copy for a $25 pledge (all current consoles are supported, and the PS5 and XBox Series X will get their own version too). Beta access takes a $30 pledge. See you at Sandrock!
