Electronic Arts and DICE have announced that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the long awaited reboot of the Mirror’s Edge franchise, is going to have a Closed Beta test. In fact, players can sign up for the Closed Beta now at this link. On top of that, EA released a new story trailer for the game, featuring new gameplay footage, which you can check out in the player below.
The Closed Beta is going to be available for the game on all of the platforms for which it will be released, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and on Origin for Windows PC. More details on the beta test and when it will launch will be revealed later on as EA marches closer toward the game’s May 2016 release.
In Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Faith Connors is a self-assured thrill-seeker and one of the best runners in the city of Glass. However, her carefree days come to an end after she crosses paths with the sinister Gabriel Kruger and the city’s tyrannical Conglomerate. Faith soon starts running from something even more significant.
The game play for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will focus on fluid movement and combat skills. The game will hit PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC on May 24.
