Batman: Arkham Knight Has Been Cancelled For Mac And Linux
And thus, another blow has struck for those who have wanted to play Batman: Arkham Knight on anything other than a console. As the official Steam forums for Batman: Arkham Knight have confirmed that the game has been cancelled for Mac and Linux.
“We are very sorry to confirm that Batman: Arkham Knight will no longer be coming to Mac and Linux,” reads the update on the game’s forums. “If you have pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Knight for Mac or Linux, please apply for a refund via Steam.”
Originally, the games were announced to be coming last March, but were then delayed until October, and then not heard from until now. This is the latest in a long line of troubles befalling Arkham Knight since its launch. While the Xbox and PS4 versions of the game ran rather well (some usual bugs aside) the PC version was unplayable at launch. And subsequent patches haven’t helped all who played it. Now, with the Mac and Linux version cancelled, it’s very clear that the only way to play the true Arkham Knight is to own a console, or a very high end PC.
Steam will allow all refunds for those who have pre-ordered the game on Mac or Linux.
