Mass Effect: Andromeda Details Leaked
A person with access to an early build of Mass Effect: Andromeda, informally known as Mass Effect 4, has released a video onto YouTube explaining some of the features and story elements in the latest instalment of the franchise.
Although the user was able to verify that he had sufficient proof to back up his claims to moderators of the Mass Effect 4 subreddit, it is important to remember that these points are still unconfirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt.
According to the source, the game will see the same basic setup as previous Mass Effect titles, giving the player the chance to take along two squadmates with them on missions and as they explore various planets. Two of the characters that will be available as squadmates will include a petite blond woman and a krogan. There has also been a massive improvement in the character models and facial animation of characters, thanks largely to the move to the Frostbite 3 engine.
The new game will also feature a brand new ship with a completely different layout to the Normandy, which includes a meeting place to talk to crewmembers and a faster-than-light means of travel. Navigation to planets will also now take place in first-person view and will involve manually flying to new locations. Lastly, the omni tool with have a more diverse set of functions and players will have access to a jetpack to make exploration of new areas more effective.
The full video of all the claims can be seen below in the embedded YouTube clip.
