Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Announced at PSX
As previously reported, rumors surfaced recently hinting that a fourth Marvel vs. Capcom game could become a reality, and the sequel could be announced as soon as PlayStation Experience 2016. Those rumors were true, and Marvel vs. Capcom 4, or rather Marvel vs. Capcom 4, was first announced at the showcase event on Saturday at the PlayStation Experience. You can also check out the official teaser trailer below.
The teaser trailer is a CG action sequence, that doesn’t feature any actual gameplay footage, but it’s still pretty stunning. The new teaser trailer featured the debut of four of the game’s playable characters. Street Fighter’s Ryu and Marvel’s Iron Man are both in the game.
New to the franchise is the Carol Danvers version of Captain Marvel. However, even more exciting, is the appearance of X from the Mega Man X series. This marks X’s debut for the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Previously, the games have featured either Mega Man or Zero, but never X. There was the silhouette of a villainous looking character at the end. It was hard to make out exactly who he was though.
The game has been confirmed for a 2017. The game has been confirmed for a release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam. Overall, it’s fantastic that Marvel vs. Capcom is making an epic return.
