Earlier this month my Disney+ subscription was about to expire two days before they hiked prices, and I quickly switched to an annual subscription just to pay the previous price for one full year. At the time, I was not sure if committing to a year would be worth it, discount or not, but the new trailer from Marvel Television covering all their planned releases for the next year’s span of time looks pretty primo.
Just look at all we get: the third season of the animated alternate reality series What If… premieres on December 22. Its spinoff Marvel Zombies will appear about a year from now in October 2025. On January 25, the animated series Friendly Nighborhood Spider-Man premieres…this is something nobody knew anything about beyond the title until now. The seconds of footage we get to see in the trailer reveal it will be animated in cel-shaded CG with a heavy Silver Age comic book aesthetic. We’ve also been told the series uses the Holland Spidey (but probably not Holland himself) and takes place in an alternate reality where Norman Osborn serves as Pete’s mentor, not Tony Stark.
Daredevil Born Again has been slated for March 4, 2025. It originally would have shown up earlier, but the previous version was a disaster that Feige had to personally step in and prevent. Let’s hope the final product is better. After that, Riri Williams leaps from comic to screen in Ironheart on June 24, 2025. And then another animated series, Eyes Of Wakanda, closes out the summer on August 6, 2025.
Before all that, Deadpool And Wolverine makes its Disney+ debut on November 12. And after all that, the furthest-out series is Wonder Man, which won’t be ready until December of next year, yet there already appears to be footage. You can check it all out in the rapid-fire trailer below…
