Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope Leaks Out
Usually, Nintendo is the last company to make their E3 presentation. If you’re a Nintendo fan and you want to know what they’ve got up their sleeve, you have to wait and wait and wait through all the other guys’ boring videos about meatheads shooting aliens in order to to get there. Your only salvation is if there’s a leak, but those aren’t always reliable (still waiting on that Switch Pro reveal…)
This time, however, the leak is pretty solid, because it came directly from Nintendo themselves. The US website briefly displayed a page for Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope, a sequel to 2017’s Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. There was a full description and even pictures:
Team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends on a galactic journey to defeat a malevolent entity and save your Spark companions. Explore planets throughout the galaxy as you uncover mysterious secrets and compelling quests!
Build your dream team with three heroes from an eclectic roster of nine.
Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy.
Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle.
Unleash your heroes’ skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.
We might not even have to wait for Nintendo on this one — Mario + Rabbids is technically an Ubisoft production, and Ubisoft has their presentation rolling right this minute. It’s possible we could see the game there and get a trailer. We’ll update this page if it appears.
UPDATE: Yup, that didn’t take long:
The game is coming sometime next year.
