It’s pretty much an off-handed remark, among a smorgasbord of other “Amazing Spider-Man”-related information, but Variety, in a article about Sony Pictures at large, revealed that Marc Webb will return for one more Amazing Spider-Man installment. The film is slated for June 2016.
Of course, that wasn’t the only bit of info released over the last couple of days. Comic Book Movie got a picture of Dane DeHaan as The Green Goblin, and he looks . . . interesting. Showing off the picture below.

Yeah. Not entirely sure how to feel about that. Looks a bit on the weird side. Then again, Gobby’s Power Ranger getup in the original 2002 film wasn’t exactly the greatest thing since sliced bread either.
Clearly, Sony has high hopes for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, even in spite of screenshots like that.
As the Variety article helpfully shows, Sony doesn’t exactly have much else to bank on. Spidey better perform, well, “amazing” for them.
Yeah, I’ll stop now. Re-posting the trailer below.
