Bungie’s first original trilogy, now complete and free for iOS users.
Marathon, a video game that launched in 1994 for Macintosh and was widely considered as the “Doom” counter part at that time period. Quick summary for you guys that aren’t aware of the series: Takes place in 2794, you assume the role of an unamed protagonist aboard the ship named “Marathon” who fights off aliens attacking the vessel. Sounds similar to another Bungie title (Halo). Has made it’s way to the app store, free of charge.
In 2011 Marathon and it’s sequel Marathon Durandal were released by a programer named Daniel Blezek for iOS users for free. The trilogy became complete on May 30th 2012 when the third installment in series “Marathon Infinity’ released on the app store. The complete trilogy now at the palm of your hands in all of it’s original glory! Not only that but if your willing to pay for a little extra they added some extra little goodies for fans such as: upgrade in graphics, cheat mode, and extra crosshairs.
Overall, a great way to keep such a great series alive, so if your a fan of the Marathon or never heard of it and want to check it out, visit the App store and pick up the entire trilogy for free.
