Magic: The Gathering – Tactics Expansion Unveiled

Sony Online Entertainment has revealed a brand new expansion pack for Magic: The Gathering!

San Diego, Calif. – Dec. 13, 2011 – Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) LLC today announced that the first expansion for the free-to-play tactical strategy game, Magic: The Gathering – Tactics Secrets of Terisiare is now available.

Secrets of Terisiare allows Planeswalkers to summon more than 160 new figures and spells and features two new tactical game mechanics, Cloak and Charge. Cloak is a new artifact that renders characters invisible until they strike, and Charge is a powerful new attack that is unleashed on enemies when they are in a direct line of sight. The Secrets of Terisiare expansion also offers new tournament rewards and two all-new Campaign Chapters with unique bonuses.

In celebration of the game’s first expansion, players will receive one free, non-tradable, Secrets of Terisiare booster pack the first time they login between today and midnight PST on Friday, Dec. 16. Additionally, all players who participate in open tournament events through midnight Sunday, Dec. 18th, will receive a free spell.

Magic: The Gathering – Tactics is a free-to-play online game where players can login to select a Planeswalker and receive one of five free starter spell books to begin wielding devastating powers on the battlefield!
