Look For Pathfinder, Starfinder And More At PAX Unplugged
As we’re previously reported, PAX is going unplugged! The established gaming convention is launching a tabletop spinoff this year, and Paizo Inc., publishers of the popular Pathfinder roleplaying game, will have a presence. They announced their exhibition plans today through a new press release.
Anyone attending PAX Unplugged can participate in one-hour game demos for the Pathfinder RPG, the Starfinder RPG or the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. These titles will be demoed at the Paizo booth in the Exhibition Hall, If you’re a pro, you can take on a longer game in the RPG Hall, but there will be special scheduled games at the con as well….
This Saturday at 3:00 pm Paizo will host Pathfinder Society Scenario 8-99A: The Solstice Scar, described as “a multi-table interactive special where agents of the Society aid an army of tribal warriors in repelling an ancient evil force from beyond.” While Paizo is optimistic that anyone should be able to join the game at any time, they are offering pre-registration for seats.
Other planned scenarios include all of Starfinder Society’s Year of the Scoured Stars, all of Pathfinder Society’s Year of Factions’ Favor, and a Greatest Hits of scenarios from last season’s Year of the Stolen Storm. Organized play sessions start at 10 am and last four hours, and there will be three sessions on Friday and Saturday, plus two sessions on Sunday.
“Paizo has been a long-time sponsor of PAX Prime/West and we’re very excited to be a part of their new show dedicated to tabletop gaming,” says Tonya Woldridge, Paizo’s organized play manager. “We look forward to traveling to Philadelphia and sharing our games with PAX attendees in the eastern US.”
