LocoCycle Unveiled at PAX
Twisted Pixel is one of the best (and craziest) developers that have strutted their stuff on XBLA. It’s fitting that the word loco features prominently in their new game: LocoCycle.
Originally teased at Microsoft’s E3 2012 conference it was one of their very few new exclusive announcements. The video (which can be seen here) left far more questions than answers, but at PAX we finally get to see more of the anticipated newest upcoming game from Twisted Pixel. A lot more seemingly because I.R.I.S herself, the star of the upcoming title, was recreated in life size by Legacy Effects and Southern Metal Choppers, alongside her arch-nemesis S.P.I.K.E.
I.R.I.S herself seems to be an escaped bike infused with AI who just happens to be a bad ass assassin. Not only can she fly down highways at rip roaring speeds, but as you’ll see below, is well versed in going toe to, um, tire with nefarious types with jetpacks. BOOM. What was that? Oh it was just my mind being blown.
Check out the vids below and prepare to ask yourself one gnawing question: “WHY THE CRAP IS THAT GUY HANGING OFF THE BACK OF THE BIKE?”. Yeah it’s crazy, but that’s kind of what Twisted Pixel does, they bring the funny.
After you’re done asking that question watch the second video to say “HOLY CRAP THAT’S A TERMINATOR!”. Indeed fellow gamers, indeed.
