Limited Run Games’ Big Release List Revealed

Limited Run Games broadcasts a livestream every June where they reveal their release plans for the next six months or so. Today was the day they put out their 2024 video, at around 11 AM Pacific. We caught it, and made a convenient list of everything they announced. Some games were unknown until they were revealed here.

Clock Tower Rewind — May 31
This was the only thing Limited Run “announced” that was already on the site. Not sure what the point was, other than to remind people it was there. Come on, Jennifer Connelly, you’re taking up valuable space!

Star Wars Dark Forces Remastered: Tomorrow

Ninja Five-O — July 5
One of the greatest games for the Game Boy Advance is also one of the rarest and most expensive (I own a CIB wrapped copy, not to brag). The lost classic finally returns to physical form for Switch, PS5 and PS4.

Beyond Good And Evil 20th Anniversary Edition – July 12
Not REALLY a surprise since it was leaked last week. We’ll say more in the article it’s getting.

Tomba — July 19
This is one people have been asking for for a while (including me). In fact, not only are we finally getting Tomba, but Tomba 2 was confirmed today for an unspecified date.

Rugrats: Adventures In Gameland — August 2024
Not the NES version, which was already sold, but the physical for Switch and PS5.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop — Summer 2024
We already wrote about this, but the Limited Run stream actually got a better trailer. You might want to look it up whenever it’s posted by itself.

Valis Collection III — Summer 2024

Starship Troopers Extermination — Summer 2024
LRG is doing its part.

Gex Trilogy — Fall 2024
How many dated pop culture references can one gecko make? Find out!

Hit Man Blood Money Reprisal — Fall 2024

Renaine — Fall 2024

Gimmick 2 — 2024
Gimmick 2?? This was one of those surprises.

Penny’s Big Breakaway — 2024

Snow Bros Wonderland — 2024

C-Smash VRS: New Dimension — 2024

Assault Suit Leynos 2 — 2024

Cosmic Fantasy Collection 2 — 2024

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus — 2024

Rain World — 2024

Double Shake — 2025
A cool-looking platformer with retro PS1-era graphics.

GI Joe: Wrath Of Cobra — 2025

Fighting Force Collection — 2025

Ghosts — 2025
An FMV game. No relation to the CBS sitcom with Rose McIver.

Fear Effect — date unknown
Square Enix owns this now.

Toxic Crusaders — date unknown

Jay and Silent Bob Chronic Blunt Punch — date unknown

Shantae Advance — date unknown
An actual GBA cart was pre-sold earlier this year. We may hear more about a modern console release as the ship date gets closer for that item.

Bubsy: The Purrfect Collection — date unknown
This was the last thing Limited Run announced, and they announced the same way they announced Gex — by pretending they were about to announce a Goldeneye physical and then having the Bond shadow turn into the obnoxious 90s mascot in question. But the only real surprise is that from a company that’s put out Night Trap, Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties and a loving tribute to the Zelda CD-I games, it took THIS long for Bubsy to show up.

Seeing "Clock Tower Rewind" and "Star Wars Dark Forces Remastered" on this list takes me back to my childhood. Limited Run Games is doing an incredible job of reviving these classics. I spent countless hours on the original "Dark Forces" and can't wait to see it remastered. It’s also great to see "Lollipop Chainsaw RePop" getting a better trailer. That game was such a wild ride when it first came out. This list is like a walk down memory lane with so many beloved titles making a comeback. Kudos to Limited Run for keeping these games alive for both old fans and new players to enjoy.

The variety of titles announced by Limited Run Games is impressive! I’m really looking forward to "Gex Trilogy" this fall. Gex was such an iconic character in the 90s, and I’m curious to see how the humor and gameplay hold up today. "Hit Man Blood Money Reprisal" is another exciting release. It’s one of the best games in the Hitman series, and I’m eager to see what new features or enhancements they’ve added. The announcement of "Toxic Crusaders" is also intriguing—this obscure title might turn out to be a hidden gem.

The announcement of the "Cosmic Fantasy Collection 2" is fantastic news! As a fan of old-school RPGs, I’m thrilled to see these classic titles getting re-released. They often get overshadowed by more mainstream games, but they have rich stories and engaging gameplay that deserve to be revisited. The "Valis Collection III" is another exciting addition, bringing together some great action-RPG elements. I’m also looking forward to "Shantae Advance." It’s interesting to see how modern consoles will handle these classic game styles. Limited Run Games is doing an amazing job catering to fans of various genres, and I can’t wait to dive into these RPGs again.

Limited Run throws out a lot of names, but some of these games I've never even heard of. Gimmick 2? Renaine? C-Smash VRS? I guess that's the beauty of LRG - they champion some truly obscure titles. Maybe I'll do some research and discover a new hidden gem!
