Leonardo floors The Foot in his own Out of the Shadows trailer
The awesome foursome created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird would not be complete without fearless leader Leonardo. Arguably saving the best reptile for last (that’s right, turtles are reptiles, not amphibians as they are often misconceived), Activision has released the final playable character trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows – dedicated to the brother in blue.
Leonardo is Master Splinter’s most promising student, a responsible martial artist whose discipline and focus are as sharp as his weapon of choice, the Japanese ninjato. Although calm in demeanour, his commitment to training makes him a skilled, well-rounded fighter.
His in-game attributes reflect this. Unlike Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello, Leo doesn’t have any stand-out strengths or glaring weaknesses. However, as the video embedded below proves, his speed, reach, damage and reactiveness are very respectable. Because Leonardo can repel waves of Shredder’s minions with ease, this dexterous swordsman will likely become a favourite with novices and experienced players alike.
Promising realistic visuals, true-to-life environments, seamless four-player co-op and a comprehensive yet instinctive combo-based combat system, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will come to current generation consoles and PC this summer. For me, this title’s a day-one download dudes…
