There have been rumors brewing for a long awaited sequel to the PlayStation 4 exclusive smash hit The Last of Us for quite some time. Now, those rumors are only intensifying after a recent forum post on NeoGAF.
According to the forum post, the announcement for the sequel to the hit game could be coming very soon. Additionally, there was also an indication of an E3 2017 website coming up for The Last of Us. E3 2017 is set for June of next year. It will be interesting to see if a sequel gets made and what direction it will take. There’s been talk and rumors about the game for a long time, but there’s yet to be any official type of announcement as of yet.
Sony PlayStation and developer Naughty Dog have not yet confirmed if there will be a sequel to the game. With PlayStation Experience 2016 set for the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California coming up, that also seems to be a potential venue to announce the game.
The Last of Us was first released as an exclusive game for PlayStation 3. A remastered version was later released on PlayStation 4. One imagines that a sequel to the game would be an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 console.
