Killer Instinct: Single-Player Mode & More Confirmed
Microsoft Studios and Iron Galaxy released the new launch trailer today for Killer Instinct Season 3. Beyond the new characters who have already been confirmed for the game, a great deal of new features were also announced in the trailer, which you can check out below.
Kim Wu, Arbiter from the Halo franchise, Rash from Battletoads and Tusk were already confirmed for the third season. The new single-player mode is called Shadow Lords. The game’s official website describes Shadow Lords as a mix of “part ladder, part arcade mode, part story mode, and part roguelike.” In this mode, players have ot beat Gargos to stop his invasion of the Earth. Shadow Lords will also receive new content as more characters are added to the game over the course of the season.
In addition, the game will receive a new multiplayer mode, which is set to launch in July. This will also tie into the Shadow Lords. Four new playable characters were also announced in the trailer, including: Mira, who arrives in April; and Gargos, who will be playable in May. One new character will arrive in June, and another hits in July.
Killer Instinct: Season 3 officially launches tomorrow (March 29). Season 3 will be available for Xbox One and Windows 10.
