With the Flash having its Season 03 finale tonight, all eyes are now upon what happens in Season 04. For many fans, the character of Wally West has been both a surprise and a disappointment. He came into the show via Season 02, and did some good things, but also some bad ones. Season 03 saw him be Kid Flash in Flashpoint, but then desperately want to be a speedster (to the point of becoming empowered by Savitar) no matter the cost. Then, his importance kind of fell off as the season ended.
So, what would Kid Flash actor Kenyan Lonsdale want to do in the next season? Be evil! Well, kind of. He’d like to play an evil version of Kid Flash at some point, for he told Decider:
“I would love to play a villain Wally West.” Lonsdale said. “We haven’t seen Earth-2 Wally, so I really, really, really want to be evil, for like a whole season! That would be so much fun. I’ll definitely drop hints [with the showrunners].”
He even cited the villains he’d want to emulate:
“I really loved Reverse Flash from Season 1. I just thought it’s such an interesting concept to really like the bad guy, and I love when that’s played on really well,” he shared. “I just imagine that was so much fun for Tom [Cavanagh] to tap into and to be this character that is so evil and is plotting, and also have so much love for this person. It’s not so one-dimensional. I think that would be a really cool bad guy to portray.”
Unfortunately for Lonsdale, it’s already been confirmed that Season 04 of Flash won’t feature a speedster as the main villain. But…that doesn’t rule out Season 05, or an entire episode of Wally West being evil. It’s comic books, everyone can be evil at some point!
