Jolt trailer:
Kate Beckinsale doing action again is something I miss. The Last Underworld film she did is way back in 2o16. Now the wait for her comeback is over! Jolt is directed by Tanya Wexler who is know for making Buffaloed and Hysteria.
It has been a long time since the Underworld franchise has ended or gone dormant. She never lost her spark, pun intended in her latest movie. Jolt is an Amazon Prime original that shows Miss Beckinsale still has it. She plays Lindy, A woman with a peculiar neurological disorder that gives her blood lust to kill somebody. Lindy feels rage and has the urge to hurt someone all day long. Controlling it is a major struggle for her. She is able to control herself whenever she got a high voltage of electricity in her body. Yes, she shocks herself. Lindy’s personality is like the opposite of Seline’s because she is less serious. She has a sarcastic sense of humor and offensively sharp tongue.
There is a vest that constantly shocks her all day long so she can live a normal life despite her condition. Lindy’s life will feel better when she finds the man she will love but he will get murdered. Now She will be on the hunt to kill the people who wronged her, As they say: Hell Hath no Fury like a woman scorned. Lindy will never stop until she had her revenge. The condition has also given her an increase in Physical strength. It gave her an ability to be an army of one.
This film reminds me a bit of Crank: High Voltage and Lucy (2014 film) but not in plot but more on the overall ambience and mood. In those movies the main character had chaotic misadventures because of their unusual condition.
