Is “The Arrow” Truly No More?
We’re only a few days removed from the shocking Arrow Season 3 finale, and there are a LOT of questions that fans really want answers to. One of them being…
WARNING!!! MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED ARROW!!!
…still here? Ok.
Anyway, the true “ending” of the finale for season 03 was Ollie “retiring” as the Arrow. Stating that the city was in good hands with Laurel (as Black Canary) and now Thea (as Speedy). With that announcement, he left with Felicity and drove off. Case closed, right?
Well, Stephen Amell has added fuel to the fire, as he told E!:
“Arrow is done. No more Arrow suit. I’ve worn it for the last time.”
Now obviously there is some things we know that kind of sort of contradict this. Not the least of which is that the show is called Arrow…so if there is no Arrow…there is no show. Furthermore, we know that he does done the costume at least once in Legends of Tomorrow. So…what’s the deal here?
Well, this may be a case of “bait and switch”, and by that I mean he may not be The Arrow, but he may be Green Arrow. Fully embracing not only a true hero name, but acting more (possibly) like his comics counterpart. Obviously there is no guarantee of this (unless you count the tease from Flash where it says Green Arrow), but with things certain looking that way, it’s kind of hard not to get excited about this.
