Hypercharge a Battle Royale of Action Figures

-

Hypercharge feeds on our childhood fantasies that our toys comes to life whenever we are not. They also becomes sentient when we are asleep. Back when I was so little, There is a Game Playstation 1 called, Small Soldiers. It is a game adaptation of the movie of the same title. It is about a war  between two factions of sentient action figures. If my blurry memory serves me correctly they are alive because of  A.I. So they did it first before Buddi and M3GAN.

Hypercharge is like a spiritual successor of  that Small Soldiers game but better. It is a multiplayer first person shooter where you play as action figures! Despite being marketed as FPS, the camera angles does change so you can see your character.

Base from the promotional arts, there will be green plastic toy soldiers, dinosaurs and robots. Since the Game is still under development, the roster of characters may eventually grow and diversify. All the information you need to know are on their website already.  It is currently playable for Xbox, STEAM and Nintendo Switch players.

Hypercharge

The available arenas are a bedroom, toystore, attic, backyard and every place you imagine toys will be. It is not that violent so it’s age rating is 10+ which gives it a potential to have a larger playerbase. My eyes are feasting because  of the graphical  bliss their video clips provide. It is the shiny new toy you can wait to get your hands on.

If you worry that it is a sausage fest of a character roster, Do not worry because hypercharge have female characters for the waifu loving demographic.

Now Let us talk about the Gameplay. Hypercharge have  two available modes at this moment. There is the  Defend mode where you and your friends are trying to protect Hyper-core to get your victory. The second mode is Player vs. Player,  Which is a standard in Battle Royal Games. There is an upcoming Survival Mode where you will battle a horde of hostile toys like dinosaurs. The Gameplay gave me an immersive experience that gives me a feeling that I shrunk to the size of G.I Joe Doll. I am more of a film critic but I enjoyed this game so much that I tried my best to  review  Hypercharge. It is not game for me, It is an experience.
