Despite being one of the first movies set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (along Iron Man), the Hulk has only been in two movies since then, the Avengers films. Never having a (significant) role in the others. Well, rumors have been flying that the not so jolly green giant will be appearing in Thor: Ragnarok as a co-star, not unlike Black Widow was in Iron Man 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Well, after much speculation, Variety reports that this is indeed happening.
What will be curious however is how Hulk and Bruce Banner will be used and portrayed in the film. If you recall, at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hulk intentionally guided a quinjet to take him far away from all society. With a promotional video for Ant-Man showing he did indeed make it to an island of some sort. If he’s still there…how is he getting involved in Thor: Ragnarok? Especially if this is taking place mostly on Asgard, which is now ruled by Loki disguised as Odin?
No one is sure, as the script is not very detailed outside of some returning characters like Loki and Lady Sif. And rumors are stating that Thor comics mainstays Enchantress and Valkyrie are expected to show up as well.
Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to release November 3rd, 2017
