The online video game music remix community known as Pixel Mixers and the gaming music news site GameGrooves have united to produce a one-of-a-kind charity album. HEROES includes 15 remixes of some of the most iconic tunes in all of gaming, in a variety of styles.
Properties like Mario, Pokémon, Sonic, Crash Bandicoot, Mega Man, Celeste, Shovel Knight and Undertale are all represented. All proceeds from HEROES benefit Child’s Play Charity, the organization that provides the latest video games and consoles to children’s hospitals for free play by the patients.
“As gamers, we know that toys and videogames can be therapeutic, creating enjoyable social experiences and letting our imaginations soar,” says Pixel Mixers producer Julien “Hashel” Rosir. “We at Pixel Mixers believe that Child’s Play Charity is doing important work by bringing smiles to faces, and as our community is centered around videogame music, we thought it would be a great fit to pledge our efforts to such a great cause.”

Passing the Turing Test is the ultimate goal of robot builders: that is, creating an AI so advanced that an actual human cannot tell the difference. But what if, as a consequence, you could be a robot and not realize it? That’s the question indie developers Metagalaxy Panda are dramatizing
