Jang Tae-Sang is the owner of the House of the Golden Treasure. He is a man of means and a man who has everything. That’s not an easy accomplishment considering he’s Korean thriving during the Japanese occupation. He has a reputation for being the “king of information”, so a Japanese officer hires him to find his mistress.
There is a father and daughter team who have a reputation for knowing how to find people. Yoon Chae-Ok and her father agreed to help Jang Tae-Sang with this assignment. They were actually looking for her mother who disappeared without a trace just like the mistress did. Based on the information gathered, they believed the mistress had been taken to Ongseong Hospital. That place was straight out of a horror movie. A mad evil scientist was performing horrible experiments on human beings. He was trying to create a weapon of war that would ensure the victory of The Japanese Empire. Yeah. The scientist, along with members of the Japanese military and government were all bat-crazy!
“Gyeongseong Creature” is loosely based on the tragic lethal experiments conducted by Unit 731, a unit of the Japanese imperial army that conducted human experiments to create bio-weapons in the 1930s and 1940s.
Season 2 can be summed up with one question asked by the lead female character Yoon Chae-Ok. “Are these things happening again?”
To quote the Times of India: The storyline offers“new twists as it explores the characters’ mysterious connections across time”. This time they’re in present-day Seoul and a guy named Jang Ho-jae looks just like Jang Tae-Sang. There’s another mad evil scientist who wants to recreate the 1945 experiments. Well, that’s just great! Every generation has bat-crazy people, huh?
{Too soon for ratings. Will come back later.}
It’s about monsters again so it’s just tine for Halloween. LOL.
