Gotham had a very game-changing season finale in many ways. Penguin took over the gangs of Gotham, Falcone tucked tail and retired. Barbara went nuts and tried to kill Leslie. And then there was the “Lost” moment of Bruce and Alfred discovering the entrance to what no doubt will be the Batcave. However, that’s not what it’ll be in Season 2 of the show. So what will the Gotham Batcave be? Apparently, a lot of truth. Or at least that’s according to Bruce Wayne himself, David Mazouz, who told TV Insider that the cave “changes everything in Bruce’s life. It changes how he sees Alfred, the criminal side of Gotham, even how he sees his parents.”
He also reiterated that this will not be the Batcave when we first see it. Instead, it’ll be the beginnings of clues and truth as to what Thomas and Martha Wayne were doing, and what may have gotten them killed. “It’s definitely not the Batcave. What is down there are clues to Thomas Wayne’s secret life and what he was trying to do before being killed.”
Are you excited to see the Gotham Batcave? Well hopefully we’ll get some new insights as to what the secret lives of the Waynes were when Gotham Season 2 arrives on September 21st. In the meantime, check out the first image of the Gotham Batcave above!
