At Wondercon, the cast of Gotham took the stage and talked more about what was going to happen in Season 03. The show left off with the Joker, aka Jerome, being stopped, and Bruce Wayne being left at a crossroads about what he was going to do. He made the decision to do even more to try and help the city, but in the right way, leading to the creation of the famous “I won’t kill” rule that Batman is known for.
Now though, when Gotham returns, we’re going to see the beginning of the transformation into Batman. And it won’t be alone that he makes this transformation, a shaman character played by J. Barry will guide him on his way. According to Deadline, he’s been waiting for Bruce to start his journey, and will help him along it…for a time.
“Barry will play the temple Shaman, a mysterious figure who enters Bruce’s (Mazouz) life with the stated intention of unlocking the potential of his own mind. While the Shaman says the fate of Gotham depends upon Bruce becoming the man the city needs him to become, the truth behind his intentions proves to be far more sinister.”
Adding to the intrigue is a new trailer that shows what Bruce will become a bit, as well as the return of a certain “other” Bruce. Gotham returns April 24th.
