The BBC comedy sitcom, Ghosts is having an American remake. The original British version is still ongoing. It is currently in its second season. CBS wanted to copy the same success so they made an American remake.
A married woman inherited a beautiful mansion from a distant relative who passed away. Little did she know, some ghosts reside in the house. At first, the ghost seemed to tolerate them but when they found out that they have plans to turn the house into a hotel. The ghosts decided to haunt the couple to make them leave because they don’t want their turf to be populated by lots of people.
Both the remake and the original have a diverse cast. The lead couple on both shows is interracial. The ghost is from different timelines and ethnic backgrounds. What I love about the show is how the ghosts struggle to relate to each other because they are from different historical periods. They are from the same country but the generation gaps made them culturally different.
Most of the time people are afraid of ghosts but the dead people from this show have hilarious hijinks and shenanigans.

Fans of the original say that a remake is not necessary because It is already great as is. The United Kingdom and the US speak the same language. Some fans think a remake is necessary because Americans will not understand British Jokes and slang.
I see the first season of the US version will be faithful to the source material. If it will be successful enough for a second season, The American version taking more liberties will be a possibility. The original is a great sitcom because it has the cast of Horrible Histories. I won’t discount the remake because I do see the potential. Rose McIver had a successful series run with Izombie and seeing her on-screen again excites me. Once the remake airs, I will make a comparison between the two versions.
