Geras is the only Mortal Kombat 11 character who returns for Mortal Kombat 1. In the last game he is one of the villains because he serves Kronika, the Goddess of time. Geras don’t die. and he always resurrects. In Mortal Kombat 11, his body was sank to the Sea of blood to make sure he doesn’t return. Liu Kang resets the time to a new Era which means he is back. He be automatically becomes a servant for the one who controls the hourglass of time. After Liu Kang defeated Kronika, He became not only a God of fire but also takes Kronika’s position. Despite of not serving Kronika anymore, he still uses an Aesthetic of White and Gold.
Geras official Trailer Mortal Kombat 1
Geras, resembling Mortal Kombat 11’s Brandon Green, may keep his model or have a lookalike replacement. Mortal Kombat 1 focused on Klassic and 3D era characters, neglecting Netherrealms era, but that’s changing.
Fire God Liu Kang reveals Geras as a celestial object, guarding and regulating time and destiny. With Kronika gone, he serves Liu Kang and is no longer a villain, at least for now. Liu Kang aims for a peaceful continuity, but the new timeline seems far from that. Shang Tsung is alive. Kitana now a Sister to Melina and she trying to cure Mileena. Mileena is now the Empress of Edenia but she is now going to become a monster again because of a disease called Tarkat. We will see characters like we never seen them before.
Geras still relies on his Sand’s of Time moveset, being a slow brawler compensating with high damage. The new trailer confirms Mortal Kombat 1 Fatalities, including one with Geras grinding down Baraka in a sandstorm. In another, Liu Kang takes Sub-Zero into space for a classic Mortal Kombat death.
Kill your friends and strangers with Mortal Kombat 11 this coming September 19.
