Gamescom 2017: Metal Gear Solid 2 HD Coming To PC

Despite recent events, Metal Gear Solid is still held as one of the greatest video game franchises ever. But, it’s also one of the most controversial in many ways. It’s never been afraid to break stereotypes and boundaries, and it proved that the most with the second game in the franchise. And now, an HD version of that game is coming to PC via Nvidia Shield.

This comes from Twitter, where a post about Metal Gear Solid 2 HD coming to Nvidia Shield was confirmed. Here’s the tweet:

Metal Gear Solid 2 was different from the original in a lot of ways. Not the least of which was that the story was broken into two parts. A “prologue” featuring Solid Snake, and the main game featuring new character Raiden. This threw gamers in such a way that it became a very polarizing title.

But, it’s also hailed as one of the most graphically stunning games of all time, mainly via its intro section. And it still holds up to this day for the most part, but an HD port doesn’t hurt either.
