Full List Of Announced Games From Limited Run’s “E3” Presentation
Even though there’s no E3 this year, that didn’t stop Limited Run Games from holding their usual mega conference in a fake coliseum, with cheesy green screen effects aplenty. This year’s video was the longest ever, running over 40 minutes long and containing over thirty announcements.
- A Boy and His Blob (PS4) — September 2020
This year’s presentation started with a massive dump of Wayforward titles, not that we’re complaining about that. This remake of the NES original is a classic in its own right, first appearing on Wii. - Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 (Switch, PS4) — TBD
- Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling (Switch, PS4) — TBD
- Castlevania Anniversary Collection (Switch, PS4) — Q3 2020
- Demon Turf (Switch) — TBD
- Garou: Mark of the Wolves (PS4) — July 2020
- Grandia HD Collection (Switch) — August 7, 2020
Yes! - Katana Zero (Switch) — November 2020
- Mighty Gunvolt Burst (Switch, PS4) — August 28, 2020
- Papers, Please (Vita) — July 24, 2020
Wondering why the very last Vita release took so long? So are we. This was announced a year ago and LRG received all its copies well before the summer. - PixelJunk Eden 2 (Switch) — TBD
- Return of the Obra Dinn (Switch, PS4) — July 24, 2020
- River City Girls 0 — TBD
This one is interesting. A brief drawing of Kyoko and Misako was shown along with the spoken words “We’re working with Wayforward on bringing their next adventure to you,” implying for the first time anywhere that there will be a River City Girls sequel. - Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (Switch, PS4) — TBD
- Shantae (Switch, GameBoy Color) — September 2020
This is one of the most expensive Game Boy games you can attempt to buy. Most reprints onto cartridges feel unnecessary, but this one? We need this one. The original Shantae will also be physical on Switch….I hope they can fit all two megabytes into that game card without extra downloads. - Shantae: Risky’s Revenge (Switch) — September 2020
September is Shantae Month! As a fan, my wallet is weeping. - Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash! (PSVR) — July 31, 2020
- Star Wars Episode I: Racer (Switch, PS4, PC) — July 10, 2020
- Super Meat Boy Forever (Switch, PS4) — TBD
- The Mummy Demastered (Switch, PS4) — July 31, 2020
The only good thing to come out of that weak Mummy movie with Tom Cruise was the tie-in game. - The Secret of Monkey Island 30th Anniversary Anthology (PC) — October 2020
- To The Moon (Switch) — Q4 2020
- TowerFall Ascension (Switch) — Q3 2020
- Trover Saves the Universe (Switch) — Q4 2020
- Xtreme Sports (Switch, GameBoy Color) — October 2020
In addition, Limited Run also revealed some new “distribution titles” that will be published by another company and sold through their marketplace:
- My Friend Pedro (PS4) — TBD
- Observer (Switch) — TBD
- Ys Origin (Switch) — July 8, 2020
- Kunai (Switch) — July 8, 2020
- Carrion (Switch) — TBD
- The friends of Ringo Ishikawa (Switch) — July 21, 2020
- Where the Water Tastes Like Wine (Switch) — TBD
- MegaDimension Neptunia VII (Switch) — July 28, 2020
- GRIS (Switch) — TBD
About this last one…Special Reserve Games has already announced preorders will open July 23, so Limited Run’s a bit out of the loop here. Special Reserve already pressed a physical for GRIS, but told no one and barely made any of them. It’s now the most expensive Switch physical on eBay. Fortunately, they heard our cries of pain.
