Free League And Titan Books Announce ALIEN Team-Up
The Alien Roleplaying Game has grown into one of Free League’s most popular products since its introduction in 2019. It’s successful enough that it’s about to expand beyond its tabletop origins. Free League announced today a partnership with Titan Books, who holds the license to make Alien novels, for a crossover storyline that will affect both the novels and the game.
“The ALIEN RPG has established the ‘Frontier War,’ as remote human colonies come under assault by an unknown enemy, dropping a deadly pathogen that unleashes monsters on those worlds,” explains Titan Acquisitions Editor Steve Saffel. “At the same time, in the wake of the Titan novel Alien: Into Charybdis, political tensions on Earth reach a boiling point.”
These two events will merge in three upcoming trade paperback novels to be published by Titan: Alien: Colony War by David Barnett, Alien: Inferno’s Fall by Phillipa Ballantine and Clara Carija, and Alien: Enemy of My Enemy by Mary SanGiovanni. As a bonus, each novel will include three unique RPG scenarios that can be used in the tabletop game, created by writer Andrew E.C. Gaska.
The first Alien Roleplaying Game novel by Titan (Colony War) will be available next month. Inferno’s Fall will follow in July, and Enemy of my Enemy will be released in February 2023.
