This would have been a good episode if they hadn't been so hurried to conclude the plot from the last episode just to shill the carnival upgrade in the second half. Toei's subservience to Bandai is really getting annoying and hurting the overall story direction. There was so much material here including not only several long standing plot threads, but also stuff from the movies however it was done in such a hurried fashion like they were checking stuff off from a list.

Sakamoto's dedication to providing fan service I think helped make the episode watchable. But really the problem was just too many plot points that needed resolution, not enough time and Bandai instance for a chunk of the episode to promote their newest toys. For example Dogold's plot was barely touched on this episode before they resolved it.

And Utchy is really becoming more the sixth jobber of the team.

Yeah, too much time spent on the Carnival demo. There was a lot of pain being thrown about, but the focus didn't go to that.

Anyway, Luckyuro and Dogold are both backstabbing bastards. Literally, in Dogold's case.

You're all on drugs. That was the best episode of Sentai ever. Who should all be ashamed of yourselves. User's are losers.

I didn't mind the apparent rushing but I'm sure that's just going to make me a slave to Bandai or something. I was expecting only Samba and Western as well. I guess they've still got the finishers for the next few episodes.

So do they have all the amber now or is there still more to come? Movie reference was cool.

And Utchy is really becoming more the sixth jobber of the team.

Like other sixth senshis in the past, when Utchy comes out he kicks everybody's ass, but as the series went on he slowly turns into a jobber and one of the weaker members of the team. It's too bad since I do like Utchy quite a bit.

Utchy spent most of this episode (and the last moments of the previous one) on a one-man suicide mission, really. And that was after being on the receiving end of Torin's slash which powered everyone down, and then getting thrown to a metal post out-of-suit.

I'd give the man a break.

Give Utchy a break for this time guys. His old friend is being controlled by the enemies, that is sure to put his morale down.

And nobody realises Sanjo's recycling Phillip's controversial death plot. bummer.
Why they put a lot of spoilers for the movie in this ep? Makes me hating myself for not flying to Japan to watch it now.:shakefist

Even alive, Yayoi is put in the same frame as the Spirit Ranger....
