Your one introductory toku clip

Hey guys, lately I've been wondering how I would introduce someone to tokusatsu, so I thought about video clips that would show how awesome toku is and prevent someone who watches it from saying "Oh, so it's Power Rangers."

I like this clip: It has henshin, cast off, rider-on-rider boxing, and a couple of finishers

There's a video of henshins and finishers set to the Climax Jump Dark Hiphop version and I got three people interested in Den-o because of it.

Usually the reaction is "Holy (insert favorite expletive) That's so (see before) awesome. Gimme More!"

I always use the same 3 or so clips:

the fight between Garo and Zero the Silver Fang, from Garo

In epsidoe 2, 3 or 4 of Kamen Rider Kuuga there's a scene where he pulls some super sweet tricks on his bike trying to fight this cat kaijin chick.

and to people who've seen Versus, I ALWAYS show them Tak Sakaguchi's first appearance in ep 40 or 41 of Kamen Rider Kabuto -- the fight scene where Tak kicks the crap out of Gatack without even changing to his worm form. This always attracts people who are Japanese Cinema fans but who aren't familiar with toku.

Wow, I watched that clip today and I didn't even pick up on the fact that it's the guy from Versus, that's pretty cool. Since I got to college I've met alot of people I would expect to have seen Versus but haven't.

I would show the Jan vs Rio fight in Gekiranger 45 to show that sentai kicks more ass than Disney power ranger. :buttrock:
