We do tend to forget this show's for kids sometimes.

I have to say..... because of computers, my hand writing skills have gone to absolute ****.

And I agree... non-ugly zords would go a long way, buuuuuut........ good god, I can't remember a sentai I've seen that didn't have pretty ugly zords. The last one I ever bought was the black Lost Galaxy Megaship and even that I always keep in it's spacehip form.

A recent Shinkenger interview in one magazine also highlights the importance to kiddies (although the article might be more for older sister rather than kiddies), through the actors in their own little calligraphy writing.

There's actually more to the article if anyone's interested in actually reading it, but if you look at the pics it's just kind of funny. Even though ShinkenGreen is supposed to be the slacker, Suzuki Shougo has the NICEST calligraphy writing out of the three boys. Matsuzaka Touri's "jibun" looks freakin' retarded. The character is crooked but it's made out of STRAIGHT LINES. Aiba Hiroki's is okay, but I was seriously surprised at how beautiful Shougo's calligraphy actually is.

I think the origami actually look pretty good, and they're creative.

Another thing people really forget with Kanji is their origins. Japanese is a pictographic language so these words are actually depicting a concept

What's with this constant use of the word "badass" these days? It's getting old.

Ninjas would be interesting, but not in the usual manner. Samurais occasionally hired ninjas to do kinds of work they didn't want to dirty their hands with. If the Shiba Clan and/or Gedoushou used an impartial group of ninjas for hire to handle various "special" jobs, that would be something indeed.

Five new Shinkenger styled on ninjas? Love to see Kakure Daishougun remade as OriGami.
