Okay! I don't play games often enough anymore, but since I sell them for a living, I've decided to try out more games. I will also give my input on the games and review them here. Both for myself to keep track of, and for anyone who was curious.

Today's Game Review?

Devil May Cry 4

Honestly?
It was a nice addition to the Devil May Cry series. The Graphics were greatly appreciated. Problem is, that it's all it really is.

Everything else about Devil May Cry 4 is practically the same Devil May Cry formula. Guns and Swords.
But with the Devil arm, it's a nice extra touch for Nero to show off his badassness.
You don't miss Dante as much because he's one of the first characters you fight. I wouldn't even consider him a Cameo because he's really just a playable character you get later in the game.

The combo solution changes depending on camera angle. If you are facing the camera, everything that was Up is down. Speaking of Camera Angle, because DMC4 takes place in a lot of corridors and hallways, we get lame camera angles, some even that have you running toward the camera to advance the map, which is just an odd angle really.

But hell, this game has got some really amazing cutscenes. They all tie in nicely and they don't take forever to load! It's great! The voice acting is well made and the bosses are pretty innovative.

The Demon Bringer(Demon Arm) is well used as a grapple hook, and as well as a charge up method for a few cool innovative "gyro-blades". It just gets really annoying and repetitive.

Bottom line : Unless you really love Devil May Cry as a whole series, I'd say this is game you should really just get Used at you're local GameStop. if you can't find it used, rent it off of GameFly or from your local blockbuster/hollywood videos store.

Score : 7/10

*Disclaimer: I'm one man. I don't own the laws of game reviews. It's my opinion. *

If you guys have games you were wondering about, go ahead and give request it. Please though, no PS3, least not yet. I currently have access to...

PS2, PSP, DS, Wii, Xbox360, and any games that are backwards compatible.

Next Time I'll most likely review... Burnout: Paradise

NOTE: I've also played Turok recently, and I might add a random review of that later if I feel up to it. Otherwise, Burnout will most likely be the next game to review.

A Quick Review of Super Mario Galaxy before work then!

This is just the next step in Mario that Wii Gamers have been looking for to fill their library. Too many Adventure games on the Wii are lacking in innovation and plain ol' Fun!

Mario Galaxy breaks that with pretty impressive graphics and use of depth and field as Mario zips from planetoid to planetoid. The graphics are a definite improvement from GameCube and for the first time in a long time while playing a Wii Game, it really feels like the graphics can compete with some of the other Next Gen System games.

The Controls schematics are a dream! Anyone who has EVER played a 3D Mario game, can pick up the Wiimote and Nunchuck and play Mario Galaxy within seconds. The quick mini tutorial gives you the know how for the rest of the Wii innovative tools and bam! You are in full control of a game doesn't feel awkward to play. Although it doesn't have the MOST interactive gameplay in comparison to games like Wario Ware, that wasn't the point. The point was to make a great Adventure game, and hell, Mario Galaxy proved that point

The new Power-Ups are cute and unique, but they do leave you missing some of the old scool power ups like the Racoon tail and Flight Feather. But the new Ghost form is kind of refreshing.

The boss levels are a bit tough to figure out sometimes, but thats where the challenge comes in. The overall level design pretty much screams out awesome. The fact that each galaxy really has it's own feel is a good thing. Something we don't see in some of the other games. It brings a sense of vareity to all the different worlds that fans of Mass Effect were looking for.

Don't forget the music, oh. Perfect! There's even a stage that has music tempo based on how fast you are rolling on your ball, it's great! The fact that they delayed this title in order to add the Orchestral music, was a BLESSING disguised as a curse. Who cares about waiting an extra few weeks? We got friggin amazing music that really does sound nice and after listening to it for a few hours, get's stuck in your head. Trust me. I've been hearing the same few songs for roughly eight hours a WEEK.

Now there are certain parts of the game I don't like. In particular, the lack of a strong Two player stand in. Yes, there IS indeed a Second Player Assist function. And yes, it's nice to see a second player helping out the first with the Wiimote functions, but come on!

Even the DS games have multiplayer games, and those proved to be highly popular. Small Cute Mario Galaxy flavored mini games for two would of been highly appreciated. Imagine the fun you could have playing with the gravity platforms and just think of a race based on climbing a ladder of pullstars and such. It would be so much fun, just small mini games.
This is the Next Gen of Gaming. Multiplayer games are where the fans are going. People love single player games, but they like being able to share with their friends too.

Hopefully, Nintendo uses the innovations in Mario Galaxy to make a new set of mini games in upcoming Mario Parties.

Bottomline : For any Mario Fan, Wii owner, and Adventure Seeker! This is beyond the norm and leaves you wanting more! The story has gone galactic, following Bowser and his prisoner Peach, and now you take flight and step foot where no Plumber has gone before. A definite Buy for fans! HOWEVER!
Now that the game has been out for a while, Check your local GameStop for a used copy, ask to see the disc's condition. If it matches your expectations, Get the used!

Score : 9.5/10

See you next time on Xarin's Random Reviews. Now I'm late for work! And hungry!

Game : BURNOUT : Paradise

Do I even have to review this game? It's friggin' Burnout! Burnout was always a fun game series.

In the new Paradise addition, you get to race in an open world enviroment where there is just so much to do. I don't even have to start a race or go into Crash Mode to find something fun to do. However, at the very beginning of the game, you only have a crappy junked up car, so you'll need to aquire more cars. How you say?

The second car you receive is after the first Lisence Upgrade. Afterwards, pretty much after every 2 wins a new Car arrives in Paradise City. From then on, it's up to you to find that car randomly racing in the City and Take it Down.

After you take a New Car down, it gets sent to the junkyard. The Junkyard is where you start the game and switch between cars.

But the Best addition in the game HAS to be the Drive-Throughs. You can simply drive through an Auto Repair shop, and the car instantly fixes up. There are also a Spray Paint shop and a Fuel Shop. The Spray Paint shop is
pretty self-explanatory, but the Fuel & Mart gives you a Full Boost.

The game also sports a Category for the cars. The Stunt cars have better maneuvering and the Heavier cars last a great long race-worth of Takedowns. But my favorite car has to be the Speed cars where you slowly build up the Boost Bar by driving faster and faster, not to mention it's the only car that can Burnout.

But with the good, comes the bad. It's hard to play more than a few hours of the game just because it's all the same thing practically. As many different things this game offers, it's more of a pick up and play, or play when it's raining kind of game. But man, is it a good choice.

Bottomline: This is a must-buy for Burnout Fans! If this will be your first burnout game, you might want to opt for a used copy or a rental from your local video store.

SCORE : 8.5/10

Next time : Havn't Decided. Maybe I'll play Professor Layton.
