What if super powered beings such as Superman, Wolverine, Doomsday,
Spider-Man, Lobo and others never existed...outside of in-verse comic books?
What happens if some universe just had hardcore normals as their heroes, villains and grays?
How would these non-powered heroes, villains and grays do in that universe?
Would things be for the better without the supers around?
How would the populace feel towards these people?
Who would be the top hero(es), villain(s) and gray(s) of that 'verse?
And finally, who would be the greatest team/organization of that universe?
Note: The universe here is a combination of the Marvel, DC and
the old Quality, Charlton & Fawcett comic book 'verses that have
non-powered heroes, villains and grays in them, this scenario
will take place in real time, the 20th and 21th centuries' heroes,
villains and grays will make their debut like they did originally in
our reality and of course, the characters will stay true to their
original backstories.
All other media characters that were/are licensed by mainstream comic companies,
as well as those related to them, will not exist (ex. Fu Manchu and Shang-Chi).
That goes for other media-based and public domain chars (ex. Harley Quinn &
Red Bee).
Normals that will be loosely considered as super-powered individuals here (ex.
Captain America, Green Lantern) and those who're blood related to
supers (ex. Corsair > Cyclops) will only exist in the in-verse comics.
There will be no spiritual, intersteller, extradimensional, anthromorphic, godly
and supernatural beings in this universe. As well as gods, immortals, cyborgs,
mutants, monsters, time/multiversal machines, divine power, magic, future
timelines, cosmic powers of any kind and everything else that'll grant people
super powers internally.
For characters who have comic book leveled scientific methods,
researches, knowledge and intelligence, those things will
be downplayed to real world standards.
BTW, Grays is a term I'd used for anybody who're somewhere between
the hero and villain routes and the old Quality, Charlton & Fawcett
universes I'm talking about are the ones that existed prior to DC
Comics' ownership of them years back.
