Midnight Releasing has announced the imminent and unstoppable arrival of World War 4, coming October 6.
World War 4 already? Don’t we have to have a third one first? Besides, the official description mentions bombs, and everyone knows World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones. We’re not sure what the true deal is, but this is a movie about a fourth World War that erupts from a conflict in the Middle East and Korea, and one family’s attempts to survive in the chaos and destruction that result.
According to the website The Action Elite, who has seen a screening, World War 4 is “the most chillingly realistic nuclear war movie you will ever see”…although given its direct-to-video budget, we highly doubt it (even if things like Threads terrified folks with less, today’s audience is different from the one of the early 80s).
