Wizard World sinks to new low

Wizard World Chicago forfeits any rights to call itself a comic convention after the announcement of it's surprise guest, Rod Blagojevich. They even have the gall to charge $80 for a photo and $50 for an autograph. In closing I would like to address Gareb Shamus. On behalf of every comic loving person in the world go F*** yourself.

The first thing I was thinking is: WTF!

I've heard of him and I'm just curious as to why the organisers of the event would invite a notorious criminal like him to the event.

On another note, I met Gareb Shamus about 20 years ago when Wizard Magazine launched and I've still got most of the early issues including the preview one.

You know what's funny: That's pretty much what every guest is saying about this convention. I've been going this weekend, and it's ****. I was talking to Brent Spiner and he said that this was the worst con he's ever worked. Other people are going as far as saying that this will be the last one in Chicago they hold.
