Will Rio Become a Good Guy?

I ask, because that could potentially destroy the show. Half of the fun is watching the training of Mele and Rio and their dynamic. They're utter badass motherfuckers and have a very interesting story dynamic all on their own.

If you take that away, what new bad guy could ever really fill in the place for Rio and Mele?

Could the show succeed with Rio and Mele being good?

I think that, Yes, Rio and Mele may end up being Good guys, but like toward the tail end of the show, like in Magi when Wolzard/Koragg finally became a part of the team near the finale.

Though I doubt the Villian that will replace them will be as intresting as them though.

Ah.. by the end they'll team up to fight a greater evil, but still be respected rivals at the very end.... I could see that.

I'm with Yellow Stranger; my guess is that Rio and Mele will turn good but towards the end from the 40s onwards. I'm not counting on them turning good that early, like before ep 35.

I'm seriously hoping they pull a Mikoto Nakadai/AbareKiller with Rio & Mele's characters. If it's done like that it'll be simply awesome.

If the writers can hold off making them good until the mid 40's of the series I'll be as happy as a pig in ****.

Now, if they do end up turning good much earlier the other option I would like to see them doing is pulling a Gouraijer style. Have both characters off on their on and not too involved with the main team at first, same darker attitudes, emo stuff, having their own agenda, not accepting the Gekiranger team right away, yadda yadda yadda. I see this working for them.

It's either the Gouraijer way (minus the getting weaker part) or the AbareKiller way, imo. Unless the writers have something totally different in store for us fans.

One thing that will destroy everything for me is if i see Rio & Mele turn good and a few episodes later being thrown into lame ass comedy relief scenes or that gay ass "EHHHHHHHH?" thing the Heroes do, it annoys the living **** out of me.

Rio & Mele together have the potential to be the best villians in Sentai since the '80s. The ball is in the writers' court... hopefully they won't **** it up.

I'm sure it's totally possible. But I'd have to wonder if the writers would be that predictable. Afterall, the price for that would be losing the cool villan they have. They may turn towards the side of justice eventually but not by becoming a GekiRanger midway through the series or something. It'd be more like a redemption thing at the very end.

I'm not sure why but I almost feel like Mele is more likely for headed for Rangerdom. It's a weird gut feeling. Maybe she get's to be truly alive again somehow..I don't know.

If they follow traditional Sentai, then no. They will probably turn away from evil near the end. (Since they seem to be one of the most intersting pair of villians seen in a Sentai)

It would be nice if some opponent arrived that would benefit both the Rinjuuden and Gekijuuken to have wiped out, so they briefly assist each other (such as the mecha combo). They should never really "turn good" and start hanging out in that tiny SCRTC room, playing with RoboTuff.

Sentai shows of the past have had moments where a villain will briefly do something that could be seen as assisting the heroes in some way (mostly to their benefit), without compromising their cool. I'm thinking of something like when Kiros and Takeru fought a monster together in Maskman or when Kakuranger's Junior helped to save Saizou and Seikai.

But the new shows have a problem with villains staying as villains, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're posing with the team with their own bad English catchphrases by the end. But hopefully the writer already knows how predictable that is and has something new worked out.

I think if they were going to turn good/become new rangers, it probably would have already happened by now. If Mele and Rio do end up turning, hopefully it won't be until near the end.
